Soccer is life in Colombia. Come kick it with a large, group of diverse creatives, professionals, and other soccer enthusiasts all interested in one thing, the World Cup. Live like a local on this 8-day trip filled with exciting experiences from food, culture, and music, to beaches and parties!

Itinerary

Day 1 – Friday June 22nd
AM: Depart USA departure airport
PM: Arrive Cartagena Rafael Nunez International Airport
PM: Chiva transfer to Stamp Hostel, check in and relax

Day 2 – Saturday June 23rd
PM: Lunch at hotel
PM: Walking tour of historic Cartagena (including short history lesson about Cartagena’s role in the slavery trade) finishing with sunset at the legendary Café del Mar

Day 3 – Sunday June 24th
AM: Breakfast at hotel
PM: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018 Watch Party: Colombia v Poland (1pm local time)
PM: Private transfer to Santa Marta (6 hours), check in at Hostel La Villana

Day 4 – Monday June 25th
AM: Breakfast at hotel
AM: Transfer to Minca (40min). Visit La Victoria coffee farm, take a dip in the natural pools and rivers in a spectacular mountain location
PM: Return to Santa Marta (40min)
PM: Visit Tiempo de Juego, local non-profit using soccer to help underserved youth from el barrio Pescadito, take part in activities and soccer with the kids
 

Day 5 – Tuesday June 26th
AM: Breakfast at hotel
AM: Private boat trip to one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches in Tayrona National Park featuring swimming, snorkeling and lunch on the beach
PM: Return to Santa Marta
PM: Free time to rest
PM: Salsa & Champeta lessons at el habitante hotel escuela PM: Salsa bars, dancing, party bus, etc. 

Day 6 – Wednesday June 27th
AM: Breakfast at hotel
AM: Private transfer to Cartagena (6 hours) including stop for lunch in Barranquilla
PM: Arrive back at Stamp Hostel, check in and relax
PM: Chill out at Café del Mar

Day 7 – Thursday June 28th
AM: Breakfast at hotel
AM: WORLD CUP 2018: Colombia v Senegal (10am local time)
PM: Black Arrow / Everyday People Closing Party

Day 8 – Friday June 29th
AM: Breakfast at the hotel
AM: 2 hour boat ride to Isla del Pirata (Pirate Island) in El Parque Nacional Islas del Rosario, one of Colombia’s most beautiful and protected marine ecosystems, with crystal clear waters and panoramic views over lunch on the beach.
PM: Return to Cartagena

Day 9 – Saturday June 30th
AM: Check out and private transfer to airport.
AM: Fly home.

Your trip will help raise money for Tiempo de Juego, a local non-profit using soccer to help underserved youth from the barrios of Santa Marta and Cartagena. You’ll get to see first hand how they use soccer to help underserved children, play a friendly game of soccer in their community and they’ll even teach you how to salsa.
